 John, Pamela & Jonathan Biggs of J. Collins and Son, run the well known West Country family firm who specialise in Period Furniture and Victorian Oil Paintings and Watercolours. They have been established in Bideford for just over 50 years, although the firm was originally started in 1910, by John’s Grandfather. Their oil paintings have been cleaned and restored where necessary, they are then taken to London, where handmade gilded frames are designed and selected to suit each individual painting.
Having a workshop facility with skilled Cabinet Makers. Their furniture is restored to a high standard of conservation and may be viewed by appointment only. John is a member of The British Antique Dealers’ Association (B.A.D.A.), and is also on the council, membership committee and the Fair Committee, as well as the BADA Fair vetting committee for oil paintings and watercolours. He is also a member of The Association of Art and Antique Dealers (LAPADA) and CINOA, and exhibits at the B.A.D.A. Fine Art and Antique Fair at the Duke of York’s Square, Chelsea, London each year. |
