The end of last year was busy, especially the run up to Christmas, when we received a record amount of e-mails from clients in the UK and abroad, wishing to purchase treen for the Christmas period.

Fairs last year were good to satisfactory and we met several clients that we had not seen for some time, as we were within driving distance from where they lived.  Do visit our events page on this website for all fair dates for 2019.  We have decided to exhibit at the NEC this year from the 4th-7th April and 18th-21st July, when we will be showing a large selection of treen and associated items.

We have sold some important items recently, including a lever nutcracker, S/3340, to a museum in Lithuania who saw it on this website and wished to add it to their extensive collection of nutcrackers.  Another item was a Charles II ladle, S/3188, made from a silver mounted coquilla nut.  This went to an American collector.

Our available stock seems to hover between 600-700 items, and we update this website each day unless we are away exhibiting at a fair.  The search box on the home page is extremely useful, not only to find an item by its stock number, but if you enter an item such as goblet, all goblets we have handled in the last few years will come up, both sold and ones available.  However, you must make it singular with no S on the end.

If you collect a specific item and one appears on this website, you can reserve it yourself and we are then automatically contacted by an e-mail.  So we can then contact you immediately.  Several clients do this and obtain first option to ensure a purchase, rather than wait for the following day to either telephone us or send an e-mail to biggs@collinsantiques.co.uk .
