S/2465 Antique Treen 19th Century Yew Wood Knitting Sheath
A finely carved yew wood knitting sheath made as a love token, having a square section with a flower head carved above a cut out heart and diamond, which is above a geometric design, with a further heart and leaves at the needle hole end. On the back there are beautifully carved initials J.S. A beautiful quality item throughout, and as with yew wood, it has a lovely colour and patination.
