S/2688 Antique Treen 19th Century Fruitwood Double Sided Pill Rounder
A circular fruitwood double sided pill rounder for making two different sized pills. One side is deeper than the other. Pill rouunders were used by chemists. After the pill was cut from the pill machine it was placed under the pill rounder, and by moving it in a circular motion it became round. It was then placed in a pill silverer for coating. The whole has a good rich honey colour and patination.
