S/3256 Antique Treen 18th Century Boxwood Spice Shaker

A fine 18th century boxwood spice shaker, having an acorn finial above a ball, which unscrews to reveal a small container for spice or nutmeg. This in turn also unscrews to reveal four small holes leading to the interior. The body, of globular form, has an incised line to the base. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
