S/3365 Antique Treen 19th Century Walnut Knife Box
An unusual knife box fir six knives in walnut, having a birds eye maple fixed lid with a shaped pediment above. The front is quarter veneered, with inlaid bone crossed knives and a brass rosette. The sides have applied turned roundels and the whole is seated on a quarter cotton reel ebonised plinth base. It has a pale honey colour and retains a patination.
