S/3617 Antique Treen 17th Century Sycamore Bowl/Platter
A fine 17th century Charles II Period sycamore pole lathe turned bowl/platter, having triple incised lines to the interior and also on the base. The whole is quite substantial, with the thickness and weight of wood quite noticeable. Due to shrinkage, it is no longer circular, and has a worn surface and excellent colour and patination.
