Summer Newsletter and Online Galleries

The long hot period we have just had encouraged many tourists and holiday makers to the West Country, and therefore we have done more business than usual from our gallery here in Bideford, which is very satisfying.  Do telephone us before visiting us, as we may be at a fair.

There has been a country wide upset with Online Galleries, a portal website that we used to display over 400 items on.  We received a letter from this site saying that their charges for the remainder of 2018 was being increased from £1,400 per year to £4,200, and then in 2019 to over £6,000.  So along with many other dealers, we have decided to leave them.  Several clients used this website to contact us, so if you did, please now go to our own website.  You will also find almost our entire stock of over 500 items displayed and updated daily, unless we are away exhibiting at fairs.

The GDPR Act is now fully legal, and we can only contact clients if they give permission to do so by phone, letter or e-mail.  We have e-mailed our entire client base and have had a 90% positive response – thank you.

We are considering for next year to exhibit at the NEC, Birmingham, and if we do so we will let you know, as many of our clients live in the Midlands.

We have had several exciting items since our last newsletter and blog, which have been well received by clients and collectors alike.  If you collect or are interested in a specific item or subject, do let us know and we can then contact you when it goes on the website.  We wish you a happy holiday period and will be sending another newsletter in the Autumn.
