S/1198 19th Century Lignum Vitae Stable Log
A good lignum vitae stable log with two bands of reeded decoration on its end, used with a halter rope to prevent the horse straying too far whilst not restricting movement unnecessarily. They are also known as tethering rings or halter weights.
