S/1388 19th Century Lignum Vitae Ceremonial Mallet

A fine quality and most unusual lignum vitae ceremonial mallet, with an inset engraved silver medallion and the end initialled CLNS. The handle unscrews to reveal a contained rolled paper print of an unnamed church and also the interior plan naming the various places of worship. The whole is in good condition and retains a patination.
