S/1429 Mid 19th Century Mahogany Wheel Barometer

A good quality mid 19th century wheel barometer in a well figured case by D. Fagioli & Son, who flourished from 1840 till 1854. He was established at 3 Great Warner Street, Clerkenwell, London.

The top, with a swan neck pediment, ivory paterae and a central brass finial, is above a removable glazed thermometer. The boldly engraved 10 inch silvered dial is within a brass bezel and has an ivory setting knob above a circular spirit level.

The works restored and in full working order.

(mercury tube and back door replaced)
