S/1487 Pair of Carved Pine Recumbent Hounds

An unusual pair of carved pine recumbent hounds, probably the arms from an important master's armchair, having a lovely dark rich colour with a worn patinated surface. Difficult to date , but we suggest late 18th or early 19th century.
