S/1642 19th Century Yew Wood Silk Holder
An intricately carved yew wood silk holder, having a removable top which conceals a loose spindle with three reels for silk thread. The body is of a lighthouse design and carved with vine leaves and grapes with chip carving below the finial and is of a lovely rich colour and patination.
