S/1939 Antique Treen 19th Century Fruitwood Watch Holder

A most unusual fruitwood watch holder, having a removable fitted lid above a vacant ball, with an open circular window for the watch. This is raised on a turned column rising from a stepped circular base. The whole has a lovely dark rich colour and patination.
