S/2017 Antique Treen 17th Century Lignum Vitae Mortar

A well turned late 17th century Charles II lignum vitae mortar. The body has incised ring turned decoration with a concave and beaded waist, terminating in a plain foot with conforming double ring turnings. The whole has a lovely rich pale honey colour and fine patination.
