S/2025 Jacobean Hinged Iron Offertory Box

A rare Jacobean hinged iron offertory box, having three apertures for coins and with carrying handles to the sides and top. The front has an iron hasp and the whole is constructed with riveted strapwork and with a recessed base.

The interior has a large central compartment and a smaller one to either side. The whole has traces of original green paint.
