S/2153 Antique Treen 18th Century Seal Shovel

A rare 18th century seal shovel, having a lignum vitae knop and a well turned handle, turned steel shaft and a shaped spade end.

These shovels were used for removing wax seals from the back of envelopes, a serious collecor's item.
