S/2238 Antique Treen 19th Century Pine Glove Mitten

These were used in laundries for drying gloves, in this case a mitten. They were also used in shops for display and in workshops during the making. Ones with fingers and thumbs are usually made in three sections, which join together with sliding dovetail slots. The whole has a pleasing colour and patination.
