S/2339 Antique Treen 18th Century Pear Wood Spice or Condiment Bowl

A fine 18th century pear wood spice or condiment bowl, having an incised rim with a rounded bowl, seated on a lipped and concave stem, and raised on a rounded and stepped spreading foot, with good pole lathe marks to the interior and foot. The whole has a wonderful pale honey colour and exceptional patination.

A similar example is in Treen for the Table by Jonathan Levi on page 95, but not as large.
