S/2387 Antique Treen 19th Century Lignum Vitae Coffee Grinder
A good early 19th century lignum vitae threaded four section coffee grinder or mill of traditional design, having well grained sap and heart wood. The top section, when removed exposes the spindle for the folding handle, which can be housed in the bottom section for travelling. The grinding steel mill, which is in working order is within the third section and the whole of bullet form is seated on a concave reeded and rounded foot. The coffee grinder has a lovely grain, colour and patination.
