S/2420 Antique Treen 18th Century Sycamore Stay Busk

A lovely 18th century sycamore triangular stay busk, extensively chip carved all over with a heart, a harp and geometric shapes and panels of a most intricate design. The back is carved with initials, ages and a date of J.H. AGED 32 and W.H. AGED 16 and dated 1782. This suggests it may of been a romantic gift from one to the other.
