S/2522 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Pair of Snuff Bellows

A lovely mahogany snuff box in the form of a pair of bellows, having brass pique decoration which reads, 'May the Angel Guard thy Bed'. There is an inlaid bone shield surrounded with pique as well as along the edges and back. On the back there is a sliding lid to gain access to the snuff. It is of excepionally fine quality, extremely well carved and has a woderful rich colour and patination.

There is restoration to one handle that has been replaced.
