S/2521 Antique Treen 19th Century Beech Love Spoon

A well carved beech love spoon, having a slender handle with a curved and chamfered end, which is above two narrow vertical open windows divided by shaped and blockwork decoration. The oval spoon has a pointed end and the whole is of a good rich colour and slightly crusty patination.

Provenance: Hung in a Welsh farm house, where it has been in the same family since it was made.
