S/2670 Antique Treen 19th Century Lignum Vitae Mortar

A sturdy lignum vitae mortar in heart and sap wood, having a rounded rim above four deep lines on a flared concave stem and stepped rounded foot. It has good lathe chatter marks on the base. The whole has a lovely colour, grain and patination.
