S/2766 Antique Treen 19th Century Novelty Book Box

An interesting novelty book box in oak, beech and pine, having a walnut spine with two bands of stringing. It is easy to open once you know how! Once open a useful sized interior is revealed. The whole has a lovely honey colour and good patination.
