S/2806 Antique Treen 18th Century Scandinavian Fuitwood Drinking Cup

A rare late 18th century Scandinavian fruitwood drinking cup, very much in the manner of a Scottish quaich, carved from a single piece of fruitwood. The bowl has two protruding horses heads as handles, each facing alternate ways. It is an exceptional piece, showing great skill of the carver. The whole has a lovely colour, as one often finds with fruitwood, and it retains its original patination.
