S/2831 Antique Treen 19th Century American Walnut Snuff Pestle and Mortar

An American walnut snuff pestle and mortar, having a pestle of a ribbed and rounded design. The mortar is in the shape of a flared vase on a rounded and stepped foot. It is indistinctly branded New York and has further illegible inscriptions. The whole has a good colour and retains a patination.
