S/2889 Antique Treen 18th Century Carved Sycamore Meat or Pie Mould

A well used and rare early 18th century carved sycamore meat or pie mould, having an interior with a central flower head surrounded by leaves. The whole is very much in the manner of a flummery mould, with a flattenned handle on the base. It has a lovely rich medium colour and excellent patination.
