S/2936 Antique Treen 19th Century Scandinavian Lidded Tankard

A lovely early 19th century Scandinavian lidded tankard, having a figured birch lid, yew staves and an oak base. The body is bound with willow and two bands of interwoven leather, and has a protruding open scrolling handle. The whole has a lovely honey colour and an excellent patination.
