S/2954 Antique Treen 19th Century Ash Gallon Measure

An iron bound ash gallon measure for corn or grain, stamped gallon, sheild, crown, and G.R. on the side and base and numbered 13. It is constructed with an overlapping nailed join in the traditional manner. The whole has a dark rich colour and retains a pleasing patination.
