S/2970 Antique Treen 18th Century Spiral Candlestick

A good 18th century spiral candlestick, having a shaped traveller for adjusting the height of the candle and a hook for carrying or hanging. The spiral is seated on a stepped and reeded circular beech base. The whole has a rich dark colour and excellent patination.
