S/3066 Antique Treen Georgian Period Elm Serving Dish

A well used rare large elm late 18th or early 19th century serving dish, which has a slightly ribbed surface through extensive scrubbing and washing, that has worn away the soft grain. This is an interesting feature to note and adds to its appeal in our opinion. At sometime in its history it developed a shrinkage crack, which has been filled and restored. The whole has a dark brown colour and retains a patination.
