S/3064 Antique Treen 19th Century Fruitwood Finger Guard

A 19th century lady's or child's fruitwood finger guard, having a curved end for gathering lavender and two holes for a leather strap to attach it to one's hand. Longer versions are used when cutting with a sickle. The whole has a good pale honey colour and excellent patination.
