S/3118 Antique Treen 19th Century Elm Two Piece Butter Mould of a Deer

An unusual 19th century carved elm two piece butter mould of a deer, which are rarely found as they often became separated and were used for culinary purposes to make a three dimensional decoration. The whole retains a patination.
