S/3167 Antique Georgian Mahogany Cased Explorer's Compass

A good quality small mahogany cased explorer's compass by C. West of Liverpool, having a lid held in place by two angular brass catches, which opens to expose the circular compass card divided into degrees and also showing all the points of the compass. The blue steel needle is held in place by a small brass stop arm when the lid is closed. The compass, signed is the centre, is a lovely item and is in fine and original condition.
