S/3254 Antique Treen 19th Century Lignum Vitae Spill Holder

An unusual lignum vitae spill holder, carved from a small branch, retaining its original bark, which has been removed at the top and then polished, with a hole for tapers or spills. The whole has a lovely rich colour and patination.
