S/3355 Antique Treen 19th Century Fruitwood Salve Pot

A most attractive fruitwood salve (ointment) pot, having a fitted domed lid on a concave waisted base. The whole, with incised moulded decoration, is raised on a slightly protruding moulded foot. It has a lovely pale rich colour and excellent patination.
