S/3371 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Storage Jar

An interesting 19th century mahogany storage jar, having a fitted lid and knob handle. The body, with eight incised lines and inlaid on three sides, has bone and ebony circles, and a lipped top edge and foot. The whole has a rich colour and crusty patination.
