S/6022 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Dressing Table Candle Stand

A solid mahogany dressing table candle stand, also known as a dresser stool, having a rectangular top with concave re-entrant corners and raised on four well turned splayed legs. Sometimes made in pairs, these would have stood either end of a dressing table to have had candlesticks placed on them, therefore giving a reflective light on the dressing mirror. The whole has a good colour and patination.
