S/6097 Antique Treen Sycamore Muffineer of the Georgian Period

An excellent sycamore muffineer, having a perforated screw top, surmounted by a well turned finial. The base, of traditional form, with a stepped lip and reeded incised line decoration, is seated on a knopped stem with a circular sloping foot. The concave underside has a collector's number and fine ring turnings. The whole has a lovely rich colour and patination.
