S/6093 Antique Treen 19th Century Tyrolean Carved Fruitwood Pap Boat

A finely carved 19th century Swiss or Tyrolean pap boat or feeding cup of traditional form, having floral carving on the top and an open handle at one end, decorated with leaf carving on the underside. Larger ones were used for invalids, whilst small ones, as in this instance, were used for babies. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
