S/6099 Antique Penwork Walking Stick of the Regency Period

A beautifully worked penwork walking stick of the Regency Period, having a bird's beak handle that is above capital initials G.S. and the whole finely decorated with many various designs: a facial sun and a man on the moon above a figure holding a staff, with his hand on an open page of the bible; two globes of the world above a crown and crossed swords; a further full length standing figure with shield and sword; a scythe and set of scales with a scull and cross bones, to name but a few of the many various items, all set on an attractive mottled ground. The whole is in fine undisturbed condition and patination.
