S/619 George III Goncalo Alves Serpentine Fronted Dressing Mirror

The oval plate is within a crossbanded frame outlined with boxwood stringing and is hung between two shaped supports, each decorated with patera to the top and fitted with Dutch drop side screws. The serpentine base, with canted corners and swept sides, is crossbanded with tulipwood and outlined with boxwood stringing. The two outer Goncalo Alves lined drawers are fitted with small Dutch drop handles and outlined with boxwood stringing. The conforming central drawer is fitted with a boxwood escutcheon, lock and key.

The whole is raised on small bracket feet and is a pleasing colour, in good condition and retains a patination.
