The rectangular top, with a B moulded edge has a leaf to each side, with rounded corners, supported by a wooden knuckle hinge. To the front are two cedar lined drawers, fitted with brass knob handles, locks and key, with conforming false drawers fitted with brass knob handles to the other side. Below is a sewing bag with a dark green painted interior and covered in pleated, dark green silk to its exterior.
The whole is raised on lyre ends, which are supported on down swept legs, united by a turned stretcher for strength and is a lovely colour, in good condition and retains a patination.
