S/613 George I Walnut Dressing Mirror

The vertical, rectangular plate is within a crossbanded, moulded frame with a decorative gilded inner slip. The mirror frame is hung between two scratch stock, tapered and crossbanded supports with adjustable brass ring side screws and brass finials.

The stepped base, with a caddy top moulded edge, is fitted with three drawers, the outer two fitted with brass knob handles, with the central drawer having a shaped brass escutcheon, lock and key.

The whole is raised on small ogee bracket feet and has a good colour retaining a patination.
