S/202 Mahogany Edwardian Kneehole Writing Table, Stamped Howard & Sons Ltd. Berners Street (London)

The top, with a gold cow hide leather with a gilded border, and stepped moulded edge is above a single drawer, with a kneehole space under, and two smaller conforming drawers to either side, all lined with boxwood stringing, original brass loop handles and locks and key. The three top drawers retain a Hobbs and Company London lock. The square tapered legs lined with boxwood stringing are supported on the original brass and ceramic castors. The sides and, unusually, the back are also lined with boxwood stringing denoting quality.

This fine piece of Edwardian furniture is in very good condition, a pleasing colour and has its original patination.
