S/216 George III Mahogany Kneehole Dressing Chest

The one-piece, rectangular top, with a moulded edge, is above a single full width, oak and pine lined drawer, fitted with a lock and key, having three false drawers, cockbeaded to the front, and below three further cockbeaded drawers either side of a shallow shaped frieze drawer, above a recessed cupboard fitted with a lock and key enclosing a shaped oak shelf.

The whole, fitted with attractive brass bail rococo handles, is raised on a base moulding with shaped ogee bracket feet and is of a pleasing colour with well-figured veneers and retains a patination.
