S/247 William IV Mahogany Bookcase

The shaped and panelled pediment is above two glazed doors divided by a brass astragal, enclosing two adjustable mahogany shelves and the base shelf. To either side of the doors are two tapered, turned columns.

The base has three cockbeaded, well figured drawers above two well figured, panelled doors enclosing a shelf and the base shelf. To each side are conforming tapered and turned columns and the whole is fitted with locks and keys, being of a rich colour and retaining a patination.
