S/248 William IV Rosewood Writing Table

The top, retaining its attractive original brass gallery, is above six small mahogany lined drawers, with rosewood knob handles, to each side of five pigeon holes. The writing surface, with a gold coloured hide that has gilded decoration, hinges to reveal a mahogany lined compartment of most useful proportions.

The whole is raised on shaped and tapered ends with carved bun feet and united by a central turned stretcher carved with two tulips at the centre.

The whole is of a most pleasing design and is in fine condition retaining a patination.
