S/304 Set of Six Single George III Mahogany Dining Chairs
The moulded and bowed rectangular backs, with carved foliate decoration to the tops, each have tapered vertical conforming bars either side of a tapered and collared central splat, each decorated with boxwood vertical inlay, all raised on a further horizontal conforming bar below.
The bow fronted overstuffed upholstered seats, finished in close nails, are raised on square tapered front legs, united by an 'H' stretcher, with a further stretcher between the two back legs for added strength.
The whole are of a pleasing honey colour, in good condition and retain a patination.
